Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support the Dining Services team in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen for residents. You will wash dishes, sanitize areas, and assist with food storage while working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to uphold Chartwell’s high standards.

Qualifications include a secondary school education and a Food Handler certification; prior kitchen or dishwashing experience is preferred, especially in retirement or hospitality

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Food Handler certification (training provided if needed).
• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience, preferably in a retirement residence or hospitality setting.
• Teamwork skills and good communication skills to interact with colleagues and residents.
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or in an industrial dishwasher.
• Keep kitchen equipment, floors, and work areas clean and sanitized.
• Empty garbage bins and take waste to the proper disposal area.
• Keep storage and utility rooms tidy and sanitary.
• Help with receiving and storing food supplies as needed.
