Job summary

Browns Restaurant Group in Delta, BC is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to maintain clean dishware and keep the kitchen sanitary per provincial standards. The role supports cooks and front‑of‑house staff across morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

You will wash chinware, glassware, pots and utensils, assist with basic vegetable prep, and help maintain a positive, team‑oriented work environment. A high school diploma is required, and a Food Safe certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Wash chinaware, glassware, dishes and utensils.

• Report equipment issues to Executive Chef, Sous‑chef or Head Chef.
• Assist with basic vegetable prep.
• Display ownership and professional conduct.
• Maintain a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

Job description

Role Summary

The Dishwasher performs a variety of duties including cleaning dishware, silverware and pots and pans. The role maintains all work areas in a clean and orderly fashion, ensuring proper sanitation and cleaning procedures as per the listed standards.

Key Accountabilities

1. Washing of all chinaware, glass ware, dishes, platters, basket, flat ware, cooking ware, kitchen utensils, Thermos containers, etc.

2. Cleaning the floorCleaning the floor of the kitchen and all walk in refrigerators.

3. General cleaning of the kitchen and contributing to the general to the general state of hygiene in the kitchen in the kitchen as per
   Provincial standards.

4. Communicating any failure or malfunction of washing, cleaning equipment to the Executive Chef, Sous-chef or Head Chef.

5. Basic preparations, peeling, cutting and transformation of raw vegetables, fruits.

6. Displaying a sense of ownership in their work.

7. Maintaining professional conduct and etiquette.

8. Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant.

9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma.

• A Food Safe certificate is an asset.
