Job summary

Pursuit in Banff is hiring a dishwasher to support our busy kitchen team. You will sort, pre-wash, load and unload the dishwasher, store items properly, and assist during non-dishwashing periods with line prep as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all dishwashing needs: sorting, pre-washing, soaking, loading/unloading dishwasher, storing items properly.
• Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces such as sinks, stoves, fridges.
• Keep floors clean and dry and manage garbage/recycling.
• Unload deliveries and move items to storage areas.
• Assist line cooks when not on dishwashing duties.
• Maintain clean, orderly kitchen work areas and equipment.
• Stay calm during peak times and adapt to high-volume periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage all dishwashing needs including; sorting, pre-washing, providing pre-soak solution and bins, loading and unloading dishwasher, proper storage of flatware, glassware, plateware and kitchen utensils and cooking ware
• Clean kitchen equipment; sinks, stoves, fridges, etc
• Ensure floor is clean and dry at all times
• Remove garbage and recycling to appropriate bins when needed
• Unload pop, food and other items and carry to proper storage areas as assigned
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
• During non -dishwashing duty periods, may be assigned to support the line cook team in any food prep or line production required
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
• Other duties as assigned

The starting wage for this role is $18.50/hour.
