Job description

Under the supervision of the Chef, the primary responsibility of the Dishwasher is to operate the dishwashing machine. The Steward / Dishwasher is also responsible for cleaning duties and assisting the cooks with kitchen prep as directed.

YOUR ROLE

• Basic preparation of food items for service
• Keep the dishwashing area organized, tidy, and clean
• Set up the dishwashing area and operate the dishwashing machine
• Regularly clean the machines
• Manual dishwashing
• Keep the outside area clean and free of litter; sweep if necessary
• Ensure garbage containers are emptied and cleaned
• Take garbage bags/receptacles to the garbage room
• Assist as needed
