Job summary

Concord Room in Downtown Toronto is hiring a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will keep dishes, cookware, and utensils clean and ready for service, while maintaining high sanitation standards in a busy restaurant environment.

Working closely with the culinary team, you’ll help keep the dish pit organized and support routine food prep tasks as needed. The role includes regular shifts, with opportunities for growth within our expanding restaurant group.

Dishwasher – Concord Room

Concord Room, a new restaurant from Harlo Entertainment and Big Hug Hospitality, is a classic neighbourhood dining room built around food you want to eat often. Sit down for a shrimp cocktail and a martini at the bar. Grab a beef dip or burger for lunch, in and out if you’re on the clock. Stay for dinner and have some Miami cut beef ribs, grilled fish with dill butter, or chicken paprikash over a bottle of wine.

It’s a room that knows when you’re in a hurry and when you’re not. Nice ingredients, cooked well, with everything happening as it should. We take our cues from the grill houses of another era, but keep things a little more relaxed. The easygoing cousin to Linny’s, without the white tablecloths.

We’re looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You’ll play an essential role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly throughout service. Working closely with the culinary team, you’ll ensure that dishes, cookware, and utensils are cleaned and ready for use while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. What You’ll Do

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils and cutlery quickly to keep them in rotation
• Keep plates stocked on the line and at the pass during service
• Operate the dish machine safely and report any issues to management
• Keep the dish pit organized and clean during busy services
• Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized
• Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and end of shifts
• Take out garbage, recycling and compost
• Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
• Report hazards, incidents and broken items to supervisors or management
• Once the kitchen is closed, assist in cleaning to make sure the kitchen is ready for the next day

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar kitchen role is an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
• A reliable, punctual, and positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Legal eligibility to work in Ontario, Canada.
