Job summary

Shannex Incorporated in Riverview, NB is seeking a Casual Dishwasher to join the Parkland Riverview - Royal Court team. You will support dining services by cleaning and sanitizing dishware, maintaining the dish area, and assisting with bussing as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 22 kg, flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and reliable transportation. Prior experience in a retirement living or long-term care environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 22 kg and stand for long periods; able to work in hot/humid kitchen environment.
• Clear criminal record check upon hire.
• CPR & Emergency First Aid certification or Basics Food Safety Training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process all dishware; maintain sanitation of dish machine and sinks.
• Return clean dishware to storage areas for use by Culinary Services.
• Buss tables in dining rooms and catering areas as required.
• Maintain cleanliness to standard in kitchen and aide areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

• Processing all dishware and maintaining sanitation of dish machine, dish sinks, and food preparation and storage areas according to established cleaning guidelines;
• Returning clean dishware to appropriate storage areas for use by Culinary Services employees;
• Bussing of tables in the dining rooms and catering areas as required;
• Maintaining cleanliness to standard in the kitchen and kitchen aide areas;
• All other duties as assigned.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• A high-school diploma or GED;
• Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire;
• CPR & Emergency First Aid Certification and/or Basics Food Safety Training/ Food Handler's Course would be considered an asset;
• Able to follow and maintain strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures ;
• Ability to lift 22kg and stand for long periods of time;
• Withstand hot and humid conditions;
• Reliable transporation to work;
• Previous experience working with seniors in a Retirement Living or Long-Term Care environment would be considered an asset;
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
