East Side Mario’s Bayers Lake in Halifax, NS is seeking a self-motivated Dishwasher to join our team. The successful candidate will work on day, evening, night, and weekend shifts with flexible hours and potential overtime.

Positions are permanent, full-time with 2 vacancies. Starting wage is $16.50 per hour for 30–40 hours per week, located at 186 Chain Lake Drive, Halifax, NS. Fluency in English is required; experience in food service is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashers to clean dishes, glasses and flatware.
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
• Clean pots, pans and kitchen surfaces; sanitize work areas.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors; remove garbage regularly.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits.

• The candidate must be able to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glasses, and flatware.
• The candidate must place dishes in the storage area.
• The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• The candidate must clean pots and pans.
• The candidate must portion and wrap food.
• The candidate will be responsible for stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
• The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
• The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• The candidate will be responsible for washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
