The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room and storage areas, including washing all dishes/pots/pans (etc.) – according to Public Health Standards. They spend time loading and unloading dishes from dish machines, washing all pans or utensils that come into contact with food, and scraping identifiers off everything.
Qualifications: Completed grade 10. Previous experience in hospitality, kitchen, or food service environments is an asset. Demonstrate ability to operate and maintain industrial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Apply knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards to daily tasks and responsibilities. Exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Work efficiently under pressure, effectively multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities. Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills while collaborating with team members. Show initiative, reliability, and flexibility, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a casual/relief position. There are no standard weekly hours of work as an “elect-to-work” position, no guaranteed hours and work will be offered on an as needed basis; shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
The target hiring range for this position is $17.60 to $19.85 with a maximum of $23.82. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
