GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
In collaboration with health system partners and clinicians, the Navigator acts as a clinical resource and liaison providing support,leadership,direction,andeducationtofacilitatethecoordinationandcontinuityof servicesin matters related to the patient.This position reports to the Provincial Manager, Systemic Therapy and Outpatient Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing
Completion of the Oncologynursingcertification CON(C) or equivalent. Where this is not complete the successful candidate is required to obtain certification within two years of date of hire to the position.

Demonstratedexperienceinleadership and/or programdevelopmentandevaluationand/orpatient education is required.
Minimum 3 years of Disease Site and/or Navigator and/or Educator and/orOncologynursing experienceis required.
For certain navigator positions, experience living or working in a specific geographic area and/or proficiency in a particular dialect or language may be considered an asset.
