Overview

Job Summary

The Director will lead the Wholesale Finance Projects and Governance team within Capital Markets Finance, managing professionals and ensuring best practices in project implementation, financial reporting, and controls. Key projects include Murex systems implementation, US Treasury Clearing, and past initiatives like OPICS upgrade and RBC’s HSBC Canada acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team overseeing financial systems changes, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and business units to align project goals with Wholesale Finance needs.
  3. Manage SOX compliance related to projects, optimizing controls and identifying emerging risks.
  4. Respond to high-volume ad hoc queries from senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent, with 8-10 years of experience and SOX knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in wholesale banking, Capital Markets transactions, and related risks.
  • Knowledge of RBC finance systems.
