What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining the Direct Investment & Advice Technology team. The Director, Technical Product Owner is a hands-on leader responsible for establishing and overseeing the product roadmap in partnership with the Business Product Owners and also ensure proper business systems analysis process has been conducted to meet best practices. This role supports technology initiatives and ensures alignment with business goals through active engagement in the entire software delivery lifecycle. The Director will provide strategic leadership in business consulting and information architecture as well as fostering strong internal relationships across the organization. This position involves conducting in-depth analyses of complex business information and making comprehensive recommendations to management, including executives and business leaders. The Director will drive innovation and process improvement, utilizing expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Leadership: Manage a product roadmap and ensure best Technical Analysis principles are applied

  • Client Advocacy : Collaborate closely with business teams to advocate for client needs and monitor satisfaction levels, ensuring that solutions align with expectations.

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that requirements for systems and solutions are strategically aligned with the organization’s business goals and objectives.

  • Accountability: Standardize artifacts and deliverables throughout the solution development lifecycle process, ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements, work practices, processes, security standards, and policies.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and sustain strong relationships across the organization, leveraging negotiation and influence to drive successful outcomes.

  • Delivery Excellence: Take ownership of the successful delivery of business and system requirements for all product initiatives involving the Simplii team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
