As a Director, Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading distribution, transportation and planning teams within the Canadian supply chain organization. This role has a key focus on strategic planning, distribution expertise and management of the strategic relationships to enable the supply chain team to develop innovative, cost effective and scalable systems and processes.

As a Director, Supply Chain, You Will

Planning & Execution - Develop and execute strategic and operational plans that align with business objectives, ensuring measurable results and continuous improvement

  • Develop Canadian Vision & Strategy: Establish and implement a Canadian supply chain strategy that aligns with North American business goals in partnership with U.S. counterparts.
  • Distribution Network Optimization: Oversee critical strategic initiatives and the long-term design of the distribution network to meet future business needs.
  • Industry & Technology Foresight: Stay ahead of supply chain industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate future organizational requirements.
  • Long-Term Supply Chain Strategy: Lead the development of innovative supply chain strategies and business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives across North America.
  • Inventory Planning & Optimization: Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to balance supply and demand, reduce excess stock, and improve service levels.
  • Process & Performance Management: Plan and manage department operations, ensuring that strategies and programs align with corporate business goals.
  • Change Management & Communication: Develop and execute communication strategies to educate teams and stakeholders on policy changes, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • 3PL & Transportation Alignment: Ensure strategic alignment with third-party distribution and transportation partners to enhance efficiency and service levels.
  • Standardization & Best Practices: Lead the creation of standardized processes, tools, and training programs that support best practices in product commercialization and inventory management.
  • Resource Allocation for Product Launches: Manage commercialization and inventory resources to support new product introductions and product transitions in line with company priorities.

Business RequirementsProviding Functional Expertise and Driving Execution

  • Leads strategic D&T sourcing and vendor management by overseeing requests for proposals (RFPs), bid analyses, and contract negotiations with third-party providers to align with business objectives.
  • Designs and implements optimized distribution network models that support market growth, capacity planning, and location strategy, ensuring efficient and scalable operations.
  • Develops and manages the annual budget (>$80M), contracts, contingency plans, and strategic partnerships with third-party logistics providers to enhance service levels and meet business requirements.
  • Owns inventory planning and optimization, ensuring the right balance between supply and demand, minimizing costs, and improving service levels through effective forecasting and replenishment strategies.
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration on inventory management, working closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Product and Marketing teams to align stock levels with business needs and customer demand.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to scale and influence broadly across functions and regions when mobilizing deployment of large-scale initiatives
  • Develops a long-term strategic plan for the functional area, driving innovation and continuous improvement in logistics, distribution, and inventory planning.
  • Oversees the execution of high-impact, integrated cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.
  • Builds and manages a high-performing team of supply chain partners responsible for D&T, product launches, transitions, and lifecycle management (Limited Time Offers).
  • Champions best practices in program and project management, providing expertise, methodology, and training to enhance execution and operational excellence.

  • Set clear goals, define key responsibilities, and foster a culture of accountability, confidence, and teamwork to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of company programs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and sustained operational success
  • Advise and influence senior leadership on budgeting, priorities, and strategic initiatives to establish best-in-class processes.
  • Champion innovation by fostering a growth mindset, encouraging creative problem-solving, and shaping organizational evolution.
  • Build and maintain strong, influential relationships across teams and leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Partner Development & Team BuildingProviding partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams

  • Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results.
  • Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
  • Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
  • Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
  • Provides coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results
