A leading educational institution is seeking a Director for Student Advising & Learning Supports to provide strategic leadership across various service areas. The role involves ensuring service excellence, managing program development, and advocating for equity and inclusion within the student community. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree and significant leadership experience in a post-secondary environment.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Student Success, the Director, Student Advising & Learning Supports provides strategic leadership across multiple service areas supporting students' academic pathways. This includes academic advising, accessible learning supports, testing services, and service navigation supports (both in-person and virtual Service Hubs). The Director oversees service area managers, ensuring service excellence, program development, evaluation, and compliance—particularly for academic accommodation services like accommodated testing and holistic advising.
The Director champions equity-informed principles in all programs and services, addressing the diverse needs of our student population and reflecting their lived experiences. As a key member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, the Director works to create a seamless, coordinated student support and advising model that embeds accessibility, equity, and inclusion throughout.

You possess knowledge of systemic barriers faced by equity-deserving groups and are an advocate for marginalized students, capable of leading and inspiring change.
You are a self-directed leader with collaborative skills, adept at building relationships, motivating staff, and creating a positive organizational culture. You exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality, and can handle stressful situations, conflicts, and complex student cases with a holistic, supportive approach.
You have knowledge of human behavior to inform assessment and accommodation processes, and are skilled in data analysis for evidence-based decision-making.
