R&D Financing, a fintech building Canada's SR&ED lending business, seeks a founding hire to build the lending book from day one. You will shape the offer, originate deals, and manage assessments and balance sheets with an entrepreneurial mindset.

R&D Financing is a fintech that give Canadians their SR&ED refunds now.

We have funded countless deals in similar programs in Australia and UK.

In Canada we're building our SR&ED lending business from the ground up, and this is the founding hire.

The Role

With the balance sheet and playbook of an experienced R&D lending group behind you. You'll build the Canadian lending book from day one.

Shape the offer, originate deals from getting into Canada's SR&ED consultant community, we handle the assesments and balance sheet.

Who you are

You have 3-5+ years in the SR&ED market (claim preparation, consulting, or SR&ED-adjacent finance) but you're bored writing claims and want to make more money doing a way more exciting job.

You bring an entrepreneurial attitude. You want to build something and own the outcome, you're comfortable with ambiguity with a strong bias to action.

You move fluidly between relationship-building, commercial strategy, deal structuring and hands-on execution, and you have a strong network across Canada's innovation and advisory community

Ideally based in or near Vancouver for the time-zone; comfortable with hybrid work.

$125,000–$145,000 base, plus an equity/profit-share arrangement.
