Responsabilités principales

1. Leading and mentoring a high performing team in a rapid development environment.
2. Ensuring consistent, and timely delivery, of new digital experiences across multiple web interfaces while driving good application design, scalability, development velocity, predictability, and quality.
3. Applying the right development approach – agile or blended – based on project and business needs and coordinating implementations across internal, partner, and vendor teams.
4. Communicating project status and issues concisely to executives.
5. Collaborating with multiple teams to define and deliver complex features.
6. Anticipating bottlenecks, managing escalations, and balancing business needs with technical constraints.
7. Planning and managing multiple parallel projects.
8. Working with product management to improve development methodologies.
9. Recruiting and retaining top development talent.

Profil recherché

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Director, Software Development role, preferably in retail digital eCommerce.
• Supportive leadership style focused on team growth and developing future leaders.
• Passionate about software development, with experience making wise tradeoffs.
• Enjoys leading talented engineers to solve complex problems.
• Committed to continuous learning and growth.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud technology stack and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of agile principles and methodologies.
• Understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead large development teams and drive ownership.
• Hands-on technologist capable of engaging with senior developers.
• Ability to harness technology and people to achieve significant results.
• Sense of urgency and personal commitment.
