CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Director of Railway Engineering – Western Canada to lead and expand our railway practice across the region. You will grow a skilled Railway Team and oversee projects for clients like CN, CP, and Transport Canada, shaping design, delivery, and client engagement.

The role demands a Civil Engineering degree, P.Eng status, 10+ years in railway, strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Civil Engineering program with 10+ years in railway engineering.
• Professional Engineer registered or eligible for registration in home province.
• Strong understanding of the local rail market and industrial clients.
• Proven leadership in personnel management and client relations.
• Knowledge of railway standards and design parameters.
• Integrity, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the current railway team in Western Canada.
• Engage with other CIMA+ lines to pursue multidisciplinary opportunities.
• Lead strategic development initiatives with a Railway focus in Western Canada.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to the developing team.
• Supervise work and ensure quality project delivery.
