Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Director of Railway Engineering – Western Canada to lead and expand our Railway Engineering services across the region. You will grow and engage a Railway Team, oversee design, management, and delivery for clients such as CN, CP, Rio Tinto, Transport Canada and EXO.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement across Western Canada, with opportunities to lead multidisciplinary projects while upholding safety, integrity and excellence in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years in railway engineering and construction.
• Professional Engineer registered or eligible for registration.
• Familiarity with railway standards and technical design parameters.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the current railway team in Western Canada and coordinate with other CIMA+ rails teams.
• Identify multidisciplinary opportunities across mining, ports, green transition, EV, transit, and other disciplines.
• Lead strategic development initiatives focused on Western Canada for local clients.
• Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to the developing team and growth strategies.
• Supervise work quality and collaboration with other railway teams and project delivery.
