Job summary

GHD Canada West Civil Infrastructure Group seeks a Rail & Transit Lead to grow our rail and transit practice across Canada, focusing on Alberta and British Columbia. Based in Edmonton or Calgary, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects that support transportation expansion and community connectivity.

The successful candidate will drive project delivery excellence, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships while collaborating with a national team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Professional Engineer registered or eligible in Alberta.
• Experience managing rail or transit projects.
• Strong client management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid Edmonton/Calgary environment.

Responsibilities

• Function as project manager, design manager or project director on rail/transit projects.
• Oversee design development and timely deliverables (drawings, reports, specs).
• Conduct site visits as required.
• Liaise with transit agencies, railway owners, regulators and utilities.
• Develop and implement QA/QC processes for project work.
