The Role
The Director of Product and Procurement is responsible for optimizing inventory management, sourcing high-quality donated and procured goods, and driving cost-effective procurement strategies. This role ensures seamless product flow, promotes sustainability, and enhances profitability while fostering strong supplier and donor partnerships. Focused on efficiency and sustainability, you will play a key role in advancing Talize’s mission of circular products and delivering value to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Departmental Duties
• Oversee inventory productivity and procurement strategies.
• Lead product sourcing, supplier partnerships, and expansion efforts.
• Implement waste diversion initiatives for recycling and upcycling.
• Drive category profitability through pricing, assortment, and cost control.
• Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and compliance teams.
• Manage procurement of donated goods and vendor relationships.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing aligned with financial goals.
Process Optimization and Compliance
• Develop best practices for logistics and supply chain management.
• Enhance sustainability efforts, focusing on waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
Strategic Partnership and Performance Monitoring
• Manage donation programs and explore new revenue opportunities.
• Conduct market research for M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and donors to grow sourcing.
• Measure waste diversion and sustainability impact.
• Analyze KPIs to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage GNFR vendors.
Pricing and Product Lifecycle Management
• Work with analytics and pricing teams to set competitive prices.
• Analyze market trends and demand.
• Monitor product performance and adjust pricing.
• Support new product launches.
• Ensure pricing aligns with marketing and sales strategies.
• Maintain pricing tools and compliance.

Education, Experience, and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement, inventory, or process optimization.
• Experience in sustainability and waste reduction is a plus.
• Knowledge of logistics, compliance, and category management.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams.
• Category Management and Merchandising experience.
