Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Marketing based in Canada.

Take on a strategic leadership role shaping product marketing direction for a growing B2B SaaS portfolio in an increasingly AI-driven market. As Director, Product Marketing, you will lead positioning, pricing, go-to-market strategy, and competitive differentiation across multiple products. Working closely with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, you will translate product innovation into compelling market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth. You will play a key role in positioning an evolving AI-native product portfolio while ensuring consistent messaging and strong customer value propositions. This high-visibility opportunity combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution and team mentorship. Join a remote-first, internationally distributed environment where innovation, collaboration, and professional growth are encouraged.

Accountabilities

As the senior product marketing leader, you will define and execute strategies that strengthen market positioning, accelerate product adoption, and support long-term business growth. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Own the product marketing narrative and positioning for the evolution of a multi-product, AI-native portfolio, translating capabilities across product lines into a cohesive market proposition.

  • Define and lead go-to-market strategies for major product launches and strategic initiatives, aligning Product, Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams around shared objectives and messaging.

  • Partner with Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market leadership to develop pricing and packaging strategies, including product structures and value metrics that drive adoption and expansion revenue.

  • Lead competitive positioning and win/loss analysis, transforming market intelligence and customer insights into differentiated messaging, competitive battlecards, and practical sales enablement resources.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term product and market strategies, ensuring customer needs and competitive insights inform major business decisions.

  • Advise product leaders on roadmap prioritization by bringing market intelligence, customer perspectives, and competitive context into product development decisions.

  • Mentor and provide strategic guidance to product marketing professionals, strengthening capabilities and raising the overall standard of product marketing execution.

  • Represent the product portfolio externally through analyst briefings, customer discussions, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Ensure consistent positioning and messaging across products, customer segments, and go-to-market channels.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive B2B SaaS product marketing experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to influence strategic decisions across an organization. You should combine executive-level communication skills with a hands-on approach to delivering impactful marketing initiatives. Key qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience within B2B SaaS organizations.

  • Proven experience owning pricing and go-to-market strategies for a core product line or multi-product portfolio.

  • Experience working with AI-driven products and understanding how artificial intelligence influences buyer behavior, product positioning, and competitive dynamics.

  • Demonstrated success designing and launching pricing and packaging changes that have measurably improved revenue, product adoption, or customer expansion.

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing.

  • Extensive experience developing competitive positioning, differentiated messaging, and sales enablement materials used by customer-facing teams.

  • Strategic thinking combined with the ability to manage execution details and deliver complex product launches or pricing initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to executive leadership, customers, and external industry stakeholders.

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or informally leading other product marketers or go-to-market professionals.

  • Ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear customer value propositions and compelling market narratives.

  • Experience in the proposal, RFP, or sales enablement industry is considered an advantage.

  • Adaptability, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from CA$136,000 to CA$175,000.

  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses.

  • Equity opportunities as part of the total compensation package.

  • Remote-first working environment with flexibility across eligible locations in Canada.

  • Access to flexible coworking spaces in downtown Toronto and Vancouver for employees based near these hubs.

  • MacBook laptop and equipment to support remote working.

  • Monthly phone and internet subsidy.

  • Work-from-home budget to help establish a comfortable and productive workspace.

  • Dedicated professional development and mastery allowance to support continuous learning and career growth.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits covering physical and mental well-being, starting from the first day.

  • Access to a Claude AI account to experiment with AI tools, automate routine tasks, and improve productivity.

  • Regular feedback, professional development conversations, and manager support through structured one-on-one meetings.

  • Opportunities to participate in company-wide town halls, Q&A sessions, celebrations, and team-building activities.

  • Employee Resource Groups offering opportunities for connection, inclusion, and professional engagement.
