Job summary

La Maison Simons seeks a Director, Product Development and Production to lead the coordination of creation, development, and manufacturing of exclusive collections. You will oversee production schedules, ensure delivery timelines, and maintain cost competitiveness while guiding a dedicated team.

You will collaborate with Design, Buying, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to drive margins and maintain high-quality output. This is a one-year temporary position with international travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in apparel.
• Minimum 10 years in the apparel industry with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Fluent communication in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless execution of product development and production from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with Design, Buying, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to progress stages.
• Oversee production schedules and optimize time-to-market.
• Lead negotiations to maximize margins while minimizing risks.
• Manage supplier and factory relationships to ensure quality deliveries.
• Oversee raw materials management and inventory turnover.
• Monitor industry trends to identify innovative solutions.
• Develop and motivate team members and foster a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the seamless execution of product development and production, from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with the Design, Buying, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams to ensure the smooth progression of each stage.
• Oversee production schedules and optimise time-to-market.
• Lead negotiation and positioning strategies to maximise margins while minimizing risks.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and factories to ensure reliable, high-quality deliveries.
• Ensure the rigorous management of raw materials, from allocation and positioning to inventory turnover.
• Monitor industry trends to identify innovative solutions and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Support, develop, and motivate team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and performance.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree or possess equivalent experience.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with team management responsibilities.
• Be proficient in both French and English, written and spoken, to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Be available to travel internationally as required.
