Job summary

MacDonald Search Group is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Procurement & Logistics for a premium, high-growth food manufacturer based in Ontario, with relocation likely to a great part of the Province.

This leadership role oversees end-to-end supply chain—from sourcing raw materials and packaging through to national distribution and retail delivery. You will own strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, risk mitigation, and logistics network design.

Qualifications

• Must own strategic sourcing at scale and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Experience with perishables, food manufacturing, and cold chain logistics.
• Proven track record leading 3PLs, transportation networks, and warehousing operations.
• Ability to balance cost, quality, service levels, and food safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategy across ingredients, packaging, and co-manufacturing.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and risk mitigation.
• Design logistics networks including inbound, inter-facility, and outbound distribution.
• Oversee inventory control, ambient and chilled warehousing, and traceability.
• Lead S&OP alignment and cross-functional execution with operations, QA, R&D, and finance.
