Job description

The Director, Paid Media is the primary client contact responsible for the daily operations within their client group(s). Working alongside the VP/EVP, they participate in staff planning, performance, and career management.

This role involves maintaining relationships with senior client representatives and internal senior stakeholders, driving business growth, generating revenue, and supporting new business initiatives.

The director oversees the strategic planning, execution, and performance measurement of paid media campaigns to align with client objectives and achieve measurable results.

Operating in a fast-paced, agile environment, the role requires adaptability, quick decision-making, eagerness to learn new technologies, and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strengthen relationships with senior clients and deliver exceptional service
  • Manage relationships with key agency partners and SBU collaborators
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • Contribute creatively and strategically to all aspects of clients’ business, including paid media strategies
  • Lead the Strategic Planning process, ensuring ChangeMakers principles are integrated into media plans
  • Oversee the media process with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious deliverables
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis on paid media performance
  • Maintain fiscal accountability for client revenues with senior management
  • Participate in staff and succession planning
  • Oversee team training, mentoring, and upskilling in paid media tools and best practices
  • Complete performance evaluations promptly
  • Demonstrate expertise in data analytics
  • Engage in agency initiatives such as training and new business development
  • Uphold the company’s culture, fostering a positive, innovative, collaborative, and fair work environment

Qualifications :

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Over 10 years of social media experience at a brand or agency
  • Experience working in a fast-paced professional environment with executive decision-makers
  • Proven ability to develop social media strategies for platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter
  • Experience with advocacy and B2B marketing and communications

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 CAD.
