Job summary

KingSett Capital Inc. in Canada is seeking an experienced Director of Originations for Multifamily Mortgages to own a CMHC loan book across primary and secondary markets.

You will originate, source, and structure CMHC loans, build durable borrower relationships, and represent the firm at industry events, while upholding credit quality and policy compliance. The ideal candidate has at least five years of CMHC origination experience, a business degree, and exceptional communication and analytical

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience with at least 2 years originating CMHC loans.
  • Collaborative, team player, supporting the Multifamily Mortgages team and KingSett.
  • Superior analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of CMHC underwriting guidelines.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Origination: originate $500 million+ of CMHC loans annually across primary and secondary markets.
  • Relationships & sourcing: build borrower and referral relationships that generate a durable, repeatable pipeline; represent KingSett at industry events.
  • Deal structuring: structure transactions to win business while protecting credit quality; partner with underwriting/execution teams on assessment, structuring and closing.
  • Policy & compliance: ensure all loans conform to KingSett and CMHC policies and procedures.
  • Pipeline discipline: maintain a detailed, accurate pipeline and forecast; keep the team informed of deal status and risks.

Director, Originations, Multifamily Mortgages

KingSett is seeking an experienced CMHC mortgage originator to join the Multifamily Mortgage team.
This role will appeal to you if you possess a true sense of ownership, take great pride in the quality of your work, and are a problem solver at heart. You own a book of business: sourcing, winning, and structuring CMHC loans across primary and secondary markets in Canada. You carry a production target, build and protect borrower relationships, and are measured on what you bring in the door. You must demonstrate integrity, humility, and respect in every interaction.

Location
Role Responsibilities

Origination : originate $500 million+ of CMHC loans annually across primary and secondary markets.

Relationships & sourcing: build and deepen borrower and referral relationships that generate a durable, repeatable pipeline; represent KingSett at industry and networking events, including outside normal working hours.

Deal structuring: structure transactions to win business while protecting credit quality; partner with the underwriting and execution teams on assessment, structuring, and closing due diligence.

Policy & compliance: ensure all loans conform to KingSett and CMHC policies and procedures.

Pipeline discipline: maintain a detailed, accurate pipeline and forecast, and keep the team informed of deal status and risks.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years of related work experience with at least 2 years originating CMHC loans.

Collaborative, team player, supporting the success of the Multifamily Mortgages team and KingSett.

Compensation

Base salary range of $140,000-$160,000.
Total compensation includes salary, variable bonus based on origination success, benefits, & other perks.
