Job summary

HYREON Talent Solutions is searching for a Power Generation Development Director to lead the development of on-site and behind-the-meter generation projects for data centers and industrial loads across Canada. You will drive concept-to-close processes, including technology selection, EPC contractor negotiation, and commercial structuring to optimize total rewards and performance in diverse locations.

Role offers leadership across teams, engagement with clients, and shaping project strategies in

Qualifications

Development of generation assets from concept to financial close.
Turbine and reciprocating engine technology selection, including aeroderivative and modular configurations.
EPC contractor selection and negotiation for generation packages.
Commercial structuring for on-site or behind-the-meter generation, including tolling, energy services, PPA, or equivalent arrangements.
Realism about long-lead equipment timelines in the current market.

Responsibilities

Lead generation asset development from concept through financial close.
Oversee turbine and engine technology selections for projects.
Negotiate and secure EPC contracts for generation packages.
Structure commercial terms for on-site or behind-the-meter generation (tolling, PPA, etc.).
Navigate market timelines and constraints to deliver projects on schedule.
