Job summary

Gray Collection’s Montréal boutique hotel William Gray seeks a Technical Maintenance Director to lead maintenance and facilities operations, ensuring reliable equipment, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting guest experience and financial goals.

You will plan preventive and corrective maintenance, manage budgets, supervise vendors, develop the team, and drive continuous improvement to optimize operational efficiency across the property.

Qualifications

• Education in building mechanics, electromechanics, maintenance management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical maintenance management or property operations, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Solid understanding of occupational health and safety standards, preventive maintenance programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in budget management and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications and maintenance management software is considered an asset.
• Bilingualism in French and English required

The Technical Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall management of the property's maintenance and facilities operations. This role ensures the reliability of equipment, the safety of the buildings, regulatory compliance, and the optimization of the department’s human and financial resources.
