PLATO is Canada's only Indigenous-led, Indigenous-staffed software testing services firm. We are committed to building strong communities by training and employing members of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit communities across the country. Our goal is to build a network of 1000 Indigenous software testers across Canada. PLATO has offices on or near Indigenous communities in Fredericton, Sault Ste Marie, Ottawa / Gatineau, Regina, Prince Albert, Calgary, and Vancouver.

We are currently seeking a Director of Software Testing. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's growth by building a team and leveraging their existing network to support PLATO's mission.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

The Director of Software Testing will lead in the Alberta market, managing the delivery of all customer projects within the region. They will work with the Chief Delivery Officer and local Sales team to expand PLATO's opportunities and regional talent.

The regional Director will collaborate with other Testing Leaders across Canada to ensure delivery consistency and alignment under the guidance of the Chief Delivery Officer.

Overall responsibilities include :

• Overseeing the delivery of multiple projects within the region
• Assessing and managing service delivery issues, risks, and changes; serving as a point of escalation for project issues
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Leveraging their network to help grow the company's opportunities within the region
• Working with Service Delivery Managers to monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns
• Managing regional staffing levels to maximize margins and KPIs
• Providing leadership and mentorship to People Managers, Service Delivery Managers, and employees
• Supporting regional business development and establishing PLATO as a regional testing expert
• Facilitating transparent communication and knowledge sharing
• Providing technical expertise to clients based on experience
• Assisting in contract negotiations and sales efforts
• Conducting regular meetings to review progress and goals

What you'll need
