THE POSITION

  • BUILD PARTNERSHIPS: This presents an exceptional opportunity to make a substantial impact by expanding established desks and leading teams to achieve success across multiple locations. Working across various industries, you will be responsible for recruiting roles essential to an organization’s success, including CFO, Controller, Senior Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst, and Accounting Manager. By strategically filling these positions, you will contribute to building strong finance teams, driving revenue, and managing costs. Additionally, you will maintain and foster strong relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional customer service.
  • THINK BEYOND: In this position, you will have a diverse set of duties and responsibilities. Alongside cultivating client relationships, you will conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to pinpoint untapped business prospects. This will entail formulating strategies to seize these opportunities and remain at the forefront of industry developments. Maintaining competitiveness and establishing yourself as a market expert will be fundamental aspects of the role.
  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT: We place great importance on ambition and the capacity to lead and manage teams. You will be leading teams of 5-10 people across various locations. Therefore, it is crucial to possess the determination to embrace new challenges and effectively lead teams. If you have a track record of mentoring and leading individuals, helping them progress to more advanced and leadership positions, it would be regarded as a highly valuable attribute. Additionally, strong commercial business acumen, the ability to lead client development for new and existing customers, and driving results in the team from a performance, fee, and people development point of view are essential.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing recruitment teams.
  • Extensive recruitment experience within the Accounting & Finance sector, with a strong understanding of roles such as CFO, Controller, Senior Accountant, and Financial Analyst.
  • Demonstrated success in generating recruitment fees and driving business growth through strategic client development and market expansion.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through market research and analysis.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members, fostering career progression into senior and leadership roles.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, delivering exceptional service and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A commitment to integrity, accountability, and ethical business practices, aligned with Hays’ values and mission.
