Job summary

This role oversees execution strategies, budgets, risk management, client relationships, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for multiple concurrent projects across Canada.
• Establish project execution strategies and ensure alignment with contractual requirements and company objectives.
• Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, productivity, and key milestones.
• Ensure effective project controls, reporting, forecasting, and change management processes.
• Drive timely resolution of project issues, risks, and resource constraints.
• Oversee project profitability, cash flow, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Review and approve project budgets, estimates, and cost control plans.
• Manage contract compliance and support negotiation of commercial changes and variations.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and project margins.
• Ensure accurate project reporting to executive leadership.
• Serve as the primary senior-level contact for key clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat business opportunities.
• Lead project reviews, executive meetings, and performance discussions.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities within existing accounts.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineering Leads, and support personnel.
• Build high-performing project teams focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, safety, and client service.
• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all projects.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and client standards.
• Support incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are effectively implemented.
• Contribute to company growth strategies and long-term operational planning.
• Support expansion into new markets, sectors, and service offerings.
• Develop scalable systems, processes, and best practices for project delivery.
• Provide recommendations to executive leadership regarding organizational improvements and resource allocation.
