Director of Professional Development – Renowned Firm

Our business partner, a renowned professional service firm, is currently looking for its future Director of Professional Development , for its Montreal office.

YOUR ROLE :

  • Ensure the development and performance of legal professionals;
  • Establish and coordinate the program for senior associates;
  • Implementation of programs and initiatives to facilitate talent engagement and retention;
  • Supervise associate lawyers, articling and law students as well as paralegals;
  • Design and implement a professional development and advancement plan;
  • Act as a resource person for legal professionals on all aspects of their careers;
  • Ensure the optimization of the firm's practices as well as liaison with the Barreau du Québec;
  • Review the content of communication tools related to continuing education and professional development.

SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • University degree in law or a relevant field;
  • Member of the Quebec Bar, an asset;
  • Experience in talent management with professionals, ideally in a law firm;
  • Practical experience as a lawyer will be considered an asset;
  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a timely manner;
  • Leadership, team spirit and discretion.
