Director of Long-Term Care & Resident Services – Registered Nurse

Position Overview:

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Long-Term Care & Resident Services oversees all aspects of long-term care and daily care delivery within the Long-Term Care Programs, including Memory Care Cottages and the Complex Care Lodge. Resident care will meet provincial standards, health authority expectations, and legal requirements. The Director provides interdisciplinary leadership to achieve program goals, including data collection related to performance, budget management, and licensing compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current registration with the BC College of Nurses & Midwives.
  • Relevant Master’s degree (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Leadership, Business) preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in gerontology (certificate, diploma, or degree) are an asset.
  • At least 5 years of healthcare leadership/management experience, including 3-5 years in Long-Term Care management.
  • Clinical expertise in chronic and geriatric care, including psychogeriatrics.
  • Experience caring for residents with dementia and other psycho-geriatric conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Point Click Care (PCC), and other business applications.
  • Ability to analyze care metrics using PCC reporting or similar tools.
  • Strong financial, human resource, and organizational management skills.
Compensation:
  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 to $130,000.
