Overall responsibility

The Director, Food & Beverage, will play a key role in leading the overall success of the Food & Beverage Operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic restaurant positioning, branding, and operations and possess a natural ability for developing leaders and setting priorities.

Leadership and Team Management :

  • Lead, inspire, and coach the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to achieve excellence in service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments and suppliers.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for staff to ensure high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Operational Oversight :

  • Provide national oversight on menu items, contracts, and agreements in collaboration with the Procurement Department to optimize costs, quality, and diversity.
  • Oversee all stages of menu planning, budgeting, costing, and inventory management across all provinces.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Menu Development and Innovation :

  • Conceptualize and introduce innovative, memorable, and sophisticated menus that enhance the dining experience.
  • Oversee the development of menus, service delivery, and standards for all food and beverage operations.
  • Direct the preparation of the annual F&B budget and monthly forecast.

Promotional and Sales Events :

  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative promotional and sales events to improve service and increase business volumes.
  • Constantly seek out creative ways to improve services that support overall Lounge and F&B revenue.
  • Direct the preparation of the annual F&B budget and monthly forecast.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.

Guest Experience :

  • Ensure that all food and beverage services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Address guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Hospitality Food & Beverage as a Director
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • University Degree in Hotel / Restaurant Management or related discipline a strong asset
  • Ability to analyze data and trends and create strategies for improvement, while being innovative, creative and willing to take risks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Creative and effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism,
  • Proven track record of strong financial and cost control knowledge
