Job summary

Altis is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration in Toronto to join its Senior Leadership Team. You will guide financial sustainability, modernization and infrastructure to support growth in a mission-driven non-profit.

You will lead a growing finance and administration function, shape capital planning, technology modernization and risk management while partnering across the organization with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in non-profit/public sector.
• CPA designation or equivalent.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, audits, internal controls and Board reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead capital planning, funding strategies and complex financial decision-making.
• Experience overseeing technology and/or digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborative leadership skills with the ability to coach teams and partner across Finance, People, Facilities and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, multi-year planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reserves, investments and capital planning.
• Support organizational health and growth through timely financial reporting, scenario analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Oversee the Finance and Administration team, including payroll and controls, ensuring financial integrity.
• Lead enterprise risk, audit, compliance, governance and funder reporting in a government-funded environment.
• Partner with Facilities leadership on capital projects, infrastructure planning and financial strategy.
• Champion technology modernization, coordinating with IT partners on cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and Dayforce usage.

Our client, a mission-driven non-profit, is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to join its Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll serve as a trusted strategic partner, helping guide financial sustainability, organizational modernization and the infrastructure needed to support continued growth.

Skills and Qualifications
