Our partnered client is currently seeking a Director of Finance who brings not only technical excellence but also strategic thinking and collaborative leadership. With steady company growth surpassing 300 employees, our client organization provides critical social services and needs a financial leader who can guide strategies while sitting at the table for big-picture decisions.

This Director-level role plays a pivotal part in both finance and organizational leadership. The successful candidate will lead the finance department, support funding initiatives, manage complex government funding, and work directly with the CEO and COO.

This role will manage a team that includes a Finance Manager and supporting staff. Your value lies in translating numbers into insights, guiding strategic conversations, and collaborating across operations, HR, fundraising, and program leadership.

What You’ll Do:

1. Lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
2. Provide strategic insights that connect finance with organizational priorities
3. Develop funding strategies, manage company cash flow, leases, and handle complex funding structures
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in finance to partners providing advice and analysis of FP&A
5. Simplify complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders
6. Ensure compliance, manage audits, and strengthen financial processes

What We’re Looking For:

1. CPA designation is required
2. 5+ years experience in a Director or Finance lead role managing staff and your C-Suite expectations
3. Extensive experience in financial leadership within complex funding environments
4. A strategic thinker who collaborates well across departments
5. Strong communication skills; able to articulate your message to peers who thrive on detailed information provided by this role
6. Experience in a mission-driven or service-based organization is an asset
7. Someone who leads with curiosity, influence, and integrity
8. This role will offer 5 weeks vacation to start with +5 personal days for a total of 6 weeks
