Job summary

Crozier & Associates Inc. seeks a Director of Finance to lead all finance, accounting, treasury, and reporting activities.

Reporting to the President, you will streamline budgeting, payroll, and reporting processes and deliver thorough financial-status reports to senior management. With 15+ years of accounting and 10+ years in senior finance leadership, you will guide strategic financial planning, establish benchmarks, ensure IFRS compliance, and contribute as a key member of the executive team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 15+ years of proven accounting experience.
• 10+ years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; US GAAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs and expenditures.
• Set budgets, program monitoring and reporting standards bi-weekly to annual.
• Achieve budget goals with analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop short and long-term operational strategies.
• Provide strategic financial counsel to President and Board.
• Present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements clearly.
• Lead accounting team with trustworthy, productive leadership.

Your Impact:

Crozier is currently seeking a Director of Finance to join our growing company.

Reporting to the President, the Director of Finance will serve as Crozier’s lead finance executive and be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, treasury, and reporting activities. As a strong communicator, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. You will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management, to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

How you will contribute to the team:

• In conjunction with the Manager of Finance, oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets, and actual expenditures.
• In conjunction with the President and senior leadership team, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Achieve budget goals with proper analysis, and corrective action.
• Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
• Act as a key member of the executive team, providing strategic financial counsel to the President and the Board on investments, growth initiatives, and risk management.
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
• Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

What you bring:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field; CPA designation required.
• 15+ years of proven accounting experience, with 10+ years of experience in a senior finance leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); knowledge of US GAAP is an asset.
• Extremely knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis.
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
• Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
• Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers. ???????

Salary range:

$130,000 - $170,000
