Job Summary: The Director of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for providing comprehensive financial leadership and expertise to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, managing an operating budget of $35 million and a total of $50 million annually, including Ministry, research funding, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead strategic financial advice and effective use of resources.
2. Develop business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
3. Ensure transparent financial stewardship and monitor key performance indicators.
4. Review new initiatives and collaborate with the Comptroller's team on policies and systems.
5. Prepare accurate financial reports and models.
6. Ensure timely financial reporting to senior leadership.
7. Lead process reviews and develop new procedures for efficiency.
8. Oversee internal audits and ensure financial controls.
9. Implement financial systems and policies within the faculty.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Completion of CPA accounting program (CA, CGA, CMA).
• Minimum of nine years related experience or equivalent.

Preferred Skills: Proven experience in financial planning, modeling, strategic planning, leadership, and system development. Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills are essential.
