The Hilton Toronto is currently hiring a Director of Finance. The role aims to be recognized as a trusted advisor to the business. It attracts and retains top-tier finance professionals, develops their skills, and enables them to thrive. The role involves effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring a robust control and compliance environment, and supporting the EMEA finance management company's value proposition, which is attractive to existing and new owners. The Director partners with the business to maximize profits for shareholders and owners and seeks to deliver an industry-leading, efficient finance organization.

What will I be doing?

The Director of Finance is responsible for understanding and driving the financial performance of the hotel and performing all finance activities within the policy, regulatory, and contractual frameworks. The role involves partnering with the General Manager and developing strong relationships across various internal and external stakeholders, including Hotel Finance, Commercial, IT, Procurement, Human Resources, Operations, Shared Service Centers (if applicable), Owners, and Asset Managers, as well as Regional Operations Finance. The Director will work closely with all Business Partners to develop best-in-class hotel finance teams and participate in relevant finance development programs.

The Director must be familiar with the management agreement for the hotel and ensure compliance by implementing appropriate processes and procedures, reporting any non-compliance issues to the supervising manager.

  • Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information and create reports, forecasts, and projections
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Additional Preferences:

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance; or relevant certification (e.g., CIMA)
