Job summary

Staffplex seeks a seasoned cloud platform leader who will own the strategy, operations, security, governance, and financial stewardship of the cloud platform and shared engineering services.

You will partner with Engineering, Product, UX, Security, IT, Compliance, Finance and Go-to-Market to enable rapid product innovation while maintaining reliability, security and cost efficiency, and you will drive FinOps and cloud cost governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and/or technical teams.
• Deep expertise with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience building and maintaining private cloud infrastructure.
• Experience operating large-scale SaaS platforms in production.
• Strong grasp of cloud security, compliance, governance, and risk management.
• Experience with cloud financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Track record leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

• Drive responsible adoption and governance of AI platforms and tooling across Engineering
• Lead evaluation, selection, negotiation, and lifecycle management of cloud providers and technology vendors
• Build and lead high-performing cloud and platform engineering teams, improving developer experience and operational maturity
