Job summary

The Government of Yukon is seeking a Director to lead the Diversity and Inclusion Branch within the Public Service Commission. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, People & Culture, you will shape a public service that reflects Yukon’s communities and advances equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility, and reconciliation across government.

You will manage a team of professionals, build relationships with Yukon First Nation governments, Indigenous organizations, and partners;

Qualifications

• Experience leading change management and collaborating with clients, partners and external service providers in relation to diversity and inclusion programs.
• Experience managing human and financial resources and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience providing corporate oversight in equity, diversity and inclusion policies and frameworks.
• Education in public administration, business administration or HR is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Diversity and Inclusion Branch and advance equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, cultural safety and reconciliation.
• Build relationships with Yukon First Nation governments, Indigenous organizations and community partners.
• Oversee branch operations, strategic planning and budgets; shape policy and programs.
• Support organizational change to ensure an inclusive public service.
