Job summary

The Alberta College of Pharmacy seeks a seasoned Complaints Director to lead the complaints process for regulated members and licensed pharmacies under the Health Professions Act and the Pharmacy and Drug Act. Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, this role drives policy development and quality assurance in pharmacy practice and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BSc or PharmD) and registration with ACP or eligibility.
• 7–10 years of experience in pharmacy practice.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent knowledge of government policy, legislation, bylaws, code of ethics, and standards of practice.
• Experience in monitoring and quality improvement of pharmacy practice, data analysis, and identifying measures/benchmarks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the responsibilities of the Complaints Director under the HPA and PDA.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement process for complaints resolution.
• Provide direction to ACP's legal counsel on matters referred to a Hearing.
