School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson) seeks a Director of Communications to join its senior leadership team in Fall 2026. The role will oversee communications, community engagement, promotions and marketing, and manage media events with planning and budgeting responsibilities.
You will supervise two staff and drive superintendent/board relations, internal communications, and strong partnerships with district groups to promote events and initiatives focused on student learning.

You will have managed all aspects of media events including planning and budgeting. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills.
As the team lead, your duties will include direct supervision of two support staff and leadership responsibilities for superintendent and board relations, internal communications leadership, and the maintenance of positive and effective relations with partner groups including the promotion of district and school events.

The salary range for this position is $112,431 - $140,539 plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
