Midland Transport is currently seeking a Director of Brokerage Operations to be based out of our Head Office in Dieppe, NB. The successful candidate will develop strategic short- and long-term operational goals for Brokerage, liaising with Senior Leaders and Operations Teams to balance demands effectively.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop functional strategies and specific objectives for Operations Managers. Lead a team of regional managers to oversee service, capacity, and cost for both Affiliate & Non-Affiliate customers.
  2. Establish and maintain governance and quality audit processes to monitor operational performance and drive improvements using analytics.
  3. Identify operational problems and achieve high performance at optimal costs.
  4. Manage annual budget planning for both outsourced and Brokerage operations, leading overall strategy, metrics, and processes to optimize the network.
  5. Understand and deliver on Affiliate supply chains, identifying best practices in transportation management.
  6. Lead S&OE with Affiliates, ensuring communication of forecasts and changes to relevant teams.
  7. Establish and maintain strong carrier and customer relationships across regions and ensure adequate FTE to support new business.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent people management, mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
