Team overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting—Statutory Reporting to lead the end-to-end statutory reporting and group consolidation process across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions. The role involves preparing accurate statutory accounts, consolidating group financial statements, and producing group reporting packs for submission to the parent company. The ideal candidate will have deep technical accounting expertise, strong leadership skills, and experience in complex, multi-entity, multinational environments.

Key responsibilities

1. Leading the preparation, consolidation, and submission of statutory financial statements for all legal entities.
2. Consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements.
3. Producing comprehensive group reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Driving consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across all group entities.
5. Managing relationships with external auditors and supporting audit processes.
6. Maintaining and improving the statutory reporting calendar, processes, and internal controls.
7. Monitoring regulatory changes and leading implementation of relevant policies or process updates.
8. Collaborating with tax, treasury, legal, and corporate finance teams to ensure relevant considerations are reflected in the financial statements.

Qualifications

• Background in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA, ACA, ACCA, or similar credential.
• Extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and group consolidation (10+ years).
• Technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with experience in multiple local GAAPs.
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting and consolidations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Experience working in or with multinational corporations, including shared services and cross-border structures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools (e.g., EPM, SmartView).
• Expertise in group consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and financial statement preparation.
