Role Overview

This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, reporting directly to the Managing Director of CRM and Data Analytics. The position is open only to US citizens and authorized residents in the Chicago area.

The person in this role will oversee the development and advancement of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and analytics capabilities. They will leverage data assets, establish frameworks, adopt emerging technologies on cloud and on-premises, understand data quality requirements, and identify improvements to support AI/ML/Analytics.

Additionally, they will oversee the development of best practices and tooling to develop and operate solutions securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
2. Ideally 5 years of experience within Financial Services.
3. Technical leadership and thought leadership in innovation, proficient in ML and AI.
4. Experience leading teams and defining large-scale projects.
5. Foster a culture aligned with BMO’s purpose, values, and strategy, demonstrating BMO values and behaviors.
6. Ensure diversity and inclusion are integral to work practices.

10. Technical skills: R, Python, Scala, Sagemaker, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, among others.
11. Hands-on experience designing and implementing ML models.
12. Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and current trends.
13. Experience with feature stores and AutoML capabilities.
14. Relevant certifications in AWS/Azure.
15. Experience building architectures on AWS, Azure, and on-premises.
16. Provide expertise on banking industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
17. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
18. Stay updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes.
19. Experience with modern databases, cloud environments, and data ecosystems.
20. Strong collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
21. Motivated to learn, research, and share knowledge and ideas.

Salary Range

$140,800 - $261,800, varies based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. May include performance incentives, bonuses, and other benefits including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans. For more details, visit Total Rewards.
