Other. is seeking a Director of Media Planning & Strategy to join our team.

Other. is raising the bar in the Canadian advertising industry, setting a new standard for accountability, transparency, and opportunity for our team and clients.

We are a privately owned, Toronto-based team led by a small leadership group with backgrounds from large advertising agency networks. Having been named to the Globe & Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing Companies, Other. is experiencing rapid growth and is making key strategic hires to support this expansion.

Our headquarters is located just steps from Toronto Union Station. We operate on a permanent, flexible hybrid model, with essential in-person meetings limited to monthly team and client meetings.

What You’d Be Up To

The Director, Media Planning & Strategy will lead key client accounts and oversee the growth of our media planning team. You will manage media strategies and plans, ensuring effective execution and client success.

You will represent the planning team in high-level communications, including status updates, reporting, and campaign briefings. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of your accounts, ensuring outstanding results.

The Work & Your Opportunity To Grow

You will lead and innovate within Other.'s proprietary methodology for maximizing paid media campaign performance. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing media planning for key clients and proactively recommending media strategies to meet KPIs
  • Providing strategic guidance and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Representing the planning team in client communications, including briefings and presentations
  • Developing complex media plans with support from junior team members, forecasting results, and providing insights
  • Overseeing execution, maintaining accuracy and rigor with partners
  • Analyzing performance data and collaborating across departments to optimize plans
  • Identifying proactive opportunities for clients and contributing to upselling efforts
  • Communicating key insights and actions to clients
  • Aligning team efforts with company vision and strategic goals
  • Monitoring daily operations, team utilization, and growth opportunities; managing scheduling and resourcing
  • Providing strategic guidance and task prioritization for junior staff
  • Mentoring and developing team members, supporting career growth
