Director, Media Planning - Oncology Specialization at Klick Health is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing oncology-focused media strategies across multiple brands and client projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in digital health and oncology marketing, capable of developing long-term media roadmaps tailored to cancer therapies, patient journeys, and healthcare professionals. This role involves collaborating across teams and with clients to ensure media solutions are innovative, measurable, and compliant with oncology regulations. Responsibilities include establishing oncology-specific media best practices, managing cross-channel media planning, and building strategic partnerships to enhance results in this specialized therapeutic area.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Oncology Thought Leadership: Develop long-term media strategies addressing oncology patient populations, clinical pathways, and HCP engagement.
  • Strategic Vision and Roadmap Development: Create and oversee media roadmaps aligned with brand goals and market opportunities.
  • Market Mastery: Maintain expertise on oncology treatments, competitive landscape, and digital media innovations relevant to cancer care.
  • Cross-Brand Leadership: Lead media strategy across multiple oncology brands, ensuring consistency and synergy.
  • Media Innovation: Identify emerging platforms and technologies relevant to oncology, such as programmatic buying and patient advocacy partnerships.
  • Process and Platform Excellence: Develop media processes and tools that optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Optimization and ROI Focus: Collaborate with teams to optimize media programs and demonstrate ROI.
  • Client and Partner Advocacy: Act as a senior advisor to clients and build partnerships with oncology media platforms and data providers.
  • Mentorship and Team Leadership: Mentor media staff to elevate the oncology media practice.
Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years in digital media planning, with specialization in oncology or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of oncology marketing challenges, regulations, and communication strategies for DTC and HCP audiences.
  • Proven success in creating oncology media roadmaps at a cross-brand level.
  • Expertise across digital channels (Display, Search, Social, Video, Programmatic) with oncology-specific platform knowledge.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data platforms, ad tech, and digital attribution in oncology.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills tailored to oncology topics.
  • Industry recognition or awards in healthcare media planning are a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare, or related fields; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in digital media planning, with at least 4 years focused on oncology brands or healthcare agency leadership.
