SkilledTradesBC is seeking a Director of IT Operations to provide senior leadership over the organization’s information technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems and services.

This role owns IT service delivery, system maintenance, cybersecurity operations, incident and problem management, and aligns technology initiatives with strategic goals while building strong partnerships across the organization.

The Director, IT Operations provides senior leadership and operational oversight for SkilledTradesBC’s information technology function. The role is accountable for the day-to-day reliability, security and performance of enterprise systems, infrastructure and vendor-supported services. The Director owns IT service delivery, system maintenance, cybersecurity operations, incident and problem management, and business support. The Director, IT Operations ensures that new initiatives are operationalized with the documentation and support model needed to run reliably, and that they are maintained and sustained effectively once implemented, while day-to-day technology needs across the organization continue to be met securely and reliably.

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT operations leader with a strong track record of overseeing reliable, secure and customer-focused technology services for the organization. The candidate brings operational discipline, sound judgment, and systems perspective needed to support enterprise platforms, service delivery and ongoing business needs, with experience leading system implementations or digital transformation as a strong asset. The Director brings a sophisticated understanding of IT as a strategic business enabler, aligning technology investments with operational excellence, innovation, and long-term organizational goals. An influential and collaborative leader, they build strong partnerships, inspire high-performing teams, and navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence and diplomacy.

The targeted salary for this position is $150,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
