Zusammenfassung

CIBC is seeking a Director, Inclusion - External Partnerships to lead external partnership strategy and strengthen community connections for the bank. What you'll be doing

The People, Culture and Talent team helps shape the experiences that support our people, our culture and our workplace so we can help make our clients’ ambitions a reality. As Director, Inclusion - External Partnerships, you'll lead CIBC’s external Inclusion partnership strategy to strengthen community connection, market presence and thought leadership. You'll build and manage strategic relationships with external organizations, industry groups and community partners, while identifying opportunities that align with enterprise priorities and create value for CIBC and its stakeholders. Working closely with internal partners, you'll help shape external engagement strategies, support leadership participation in external forums and ensure consistent, effective messaging. You'll also lead benchmarking and environmental scanning to provide leaders with relevant market insight, and evaluate partnership effectiveness to inform future decisions. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed
  • External partnership strategy - Lead the development and execution of an external partnership strategy that advances CIBC’s Inclusion priorities, strengthens community connection and supports brand and reputation objectives.
  • Relationship management and collaboration - Build and sustain strategic relationships with external organizations, community partners, advocacy groups and industry stakeholders, and partner with internal teams to establish, manage and renew partnership agreements where appropriate
  • Market insights and benchmarking - Monitor external trends, emerging issues and leading practices, and lead benchmarking activities that provide context, insights and recommendations to support Inclusion strategy development and executive decision-making.
  • Executive engagement support - Shape agendas and engagement plans for leadership participation in external meetings, panels, community events and partnership forums, and develop high-quality briefing materials, speaking notes and executive summaries.
  • Strategic alignment and impact - Evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of external partnerships, recommend adjustments to strengthen alignment and value, and help ensure external activities reflect CIBC’s purpose, values and Inclusion commitments.

You have relevant experience. You bring strong experience in external partnerships, stakeholder engagement, corporate affairs, community relations or a related field. You know how to build strategies that strengthen relationships, reputation and business impact. Your influence makes a difference. You build trusted relationships with senior leaders, external organizations and key stakeholders, and you know how to navigate complex environments with sound judgement and credibility. You look beyond the moment.

You look for new opportunities to define what's possible. You can demonstrate experience in partnership strategy, stakeholder management, benchmarking, environmental scanning, executive briefings and presentation development. It’s an asset if you have experience supporting external recognition opportunities, award submissions or community-based partnership reporting. You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners.

You connect with others through respect and authenticity. You have a degree/diploma in communications, business, public affairs, human resources, social sciences or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
