Job summary

Brookfield Internal Audit is seeking a Director to lead the ICFR program and advise on controls across Brookfield Asset Management. Based in Canada with exposure to global businesses, you will supervise audit teams, coordinate with senior stakeholders and external auditors, and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley-style controls are robust.

You bring 8+ years in audit or financial controls, CPA or equivalent, and experience with US GAAP and large-cap entities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of audit, internal controls, accounting or financial reporting.
• CPA designation and Big 4 or equivalent experience are assets.
• Experience with US listed entities that have SOX programs and familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CIA is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of the ICFR program to comply with SOX requirements by identifying key business processes and providing guidance to control owners.
• Lead annual risk assessment and financial statement scoping exercises.
• Oversee testing to evaluate design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Develop remediation plans and communicate status to IA and Finance leadership.
