Job summary

Sun Life in Toronto seeks a Director, Regulatory Compliance Reporting to lead global reporting for the Enterprise CCO. You will craft concise narratives, coordinate with senior Compliance teams, and present clear insights to Board and senior management.

You will develop metrics for KRIs, align with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, and drive structure and discipline in reporting processes. The role demands independent judgment in tight timelines and bold communication of risk themes.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead by preparing quarterly, annual and ad hoc Board and committee reporting on behalf of the Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
• Develop global reporting methodologies that bring consistency, structure and transparency to compliance risk reporting.
• Craft narratives that clearly explain what has changed, why it matters, where risk may be emerging, and what actions are required.
• Liaise with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit and Enterprise Compliance to ensure completeness and accuracy of inputs.
• Review reporting to ensure it is complete, accurate, risk-based and reflects Sun Life's compliance posture.
• Apply sound judgment during tight reporting cycles and decide when to probe, escalate or reframe inputs.
• Identify regulatory themes and trends and provide summarized analysis for reporting.
• Design and redesign reports to drive value-add reporting for the Compliance function.
• Act as subject matter expert on regulatory themes, trends and developments affecting Sun Life.
• Define key risk indicators with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
